The Knights of Columbus donated $5,000 to Good Shepherd School for the newly mandated 911 phone system. Each room has a phone that is hooked up directly to the 911 call system and when activated, the center will know exactly what room the call is coming from. Each room will connect to the office automatically when activated. The Knights recently helped to remove unwanted items and trash from the basement of the school. After 4 pickup loads, the project was completed. Knights who worked on the project were Vinny Matteis, Maurice Chaloux, Don Pinard, Dan Flanagan, Jim Lanctot, Moe Noel, and Stan Baranowski. Thank you for your help!
We pray the rosary after Mass on Saturday mornings (8:30 AM Mass at St. John’s) and in October, the Month of the Holy Rosary, after each weekday Mass. Please join us!
Our new permanent deacon was ordained at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Burlington by Bishop Coyne last Saturday. He received Holy Orders with six other men. God bless you and your family, Tom! We’re so grateful you’re with us! you can see the photos from that day in the photo albums under our media section on the website. Click here.
Thanks to all who have been praying for me and my family during the past three years as I have been preparing for my ordination to the Permanent Diaconate, and thank you to all who traveled to Burlington to celebrate with my family and me as I received the Sacrament of Holy Orders. Your prayers and support have been invaluable as I have sought to be faithful to the Lord’s call. I promise you that I will do my best; aided by God’s grace, to serve you in the name of Christ Jesus as together we build up the Body of Christ in our midst. A deacon is meant to be an icon of Christ the Servant, and I pray that I may be that for you. May God bless you all! ~ Deacon Tom Lovett
Our volunteers, with Father Harlow, are sorting and packing the huge number of wonderful children’s garments to bring to the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children down in Westminster. Thank you for your terrific response to our clothing drive.

The St. Nicholas Project is conducting its fall “Shoes for St. Nicholas” fundraiser to raise money to buy shoes for the boys and girls at the Kurn Hattin Homes for Children. I would love for you to help! So many of you have supported them in the past. A donation in the range of $25- $50 will purchase a new pair of shoes for a child. You can make a gift in one of two ways. 1. Make out a check payable to: Kurn Hattin Homes and put in the collection basket or send it to the rectory. 2. Make a donation online by going to www.thestnicholasproject.com. Click on “Donate” which takes you to Kurn Hattin. Be sure to put in the “gift notes for staff” that it is for shoes. Thank you for remembering the boys and girls at the children’s home and for being their guardian angels. God bless you! Fr. Lance W. Harlow
